Parnisia Thomas, owner of Brain & Body Recess, is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and Yoga Alliance Certified Educator with both 200-hour and 500-hour credentials. At Brain and Body Recess, she integrates yoga, breathwork, and somatic practices, blending ancient wisdom with modern embodiment techniques to support deep restoration and expansion.
With a profound understanding of how stress, posture, and breath influence overall well-being, Parnisia curates customized private sessions, immersive workshops and retreats, and intentional community classes designed to help practitioners build strength, presence, and nervous system resilience. Her teaching style is intelligent, adaptable, and deeply transformative, ensuring every session is not just movement—but a journey back home to the body.
